Francesco Mezzapesa took the Master Degree in physics in 2001 from the University of Bari (Italy) and received the PhD in the field of integrated optics and nonlinear optical microstructures in 2005, from the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton (UK). From 2006 to 2008 he was with the company Sintesi Scpa in Bari, working on developing optoelectronic measurement sensor for accurate motion&position control and sophisticated mechatronics solutions for industrial metrology applications.
He is now PostDoc in the Soft Matter Nanotechnology Group of the National Nanotechnology Laboratory in Lecce, Italy. Current work includes synthesis and characterization of hybrid materials, with
particular focus on organic/inorganic systems and nanoimprinted optically active devices.
